These were healthy-looking mange tout (Norli). Healthy until they got eaten by those slimey things. Been a bad year for beans and peas on the veg plot (although the broad beans were brill - will do more for next year).

i've seen better. it's the year of super slug for sure. lost all our squash even with nightly collections of the slime balls.replacement cleome plants also succumbed and the area is only now being covered with the expansionist nasturtiums.
ReplyDeleteI sowed a few nasturtiums a few years ago and now they seem to come up all over the place. At this time of year they are adding real cheer where I least expected (planned) it.
